We work exclusively with private groups, which means you’ll be traveling only with your own wine club, friends, family, or invited guests.

We work exclusively with private groups, which means you’ll be traveling with your own wine club, friends, or invited guests.

  • Group size ranges from 6 to 22 guests.
  • Our ideal group size is 8–16 for the best balance of intimacy and access.
  • We can accommodate larger groups with customized arrangements—just reach out to discuss your needs.

🗺 How are itineraries selected?

Every trip is tailored to your group. Here’s how it works:

  1. You choose the region(s) you’d like to visit.
  2. We discuss your group’s preferences—wine style, pace, cultural interests, etc.
  3. We draft a custom itinerary and revise it with your feedback until it’s just right.
  4. Once approved, we handle all the planning and logistics on your behalf.

✈️ What’s included in the trip?

Once you arrive in France, we take care of everything so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Included:

  • All in-country transportation (chauffeured vans or minibuses)
  • Handpicked accommodations, often in boutique hotels, castles, or historic estates
  • All meals, from winemaker dinners to bistro lunches and gourmet tastings
  • All wine tastings, tours, activities, and entrance tickets listed in the itinerary

Not included:

  • International airfare to and from France
  • Travel insurance (see below)

🏰 Where do we stay?

Lodging varies by region but is always hand-selected for charm, comfort, and location. Options include:

  • Vineyard châteaux
  • Restored abbeys and manors
  • Boutique hotels in wine villages or historic towns

We’ll share hotel options during the planning phase and can adjust based on your group’s preferences.

🥗 Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes. We can accommodate:

  • Vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, or other dietary restrictions
  • We work closely with our culinary partners to ensure your needs are respected and your meals are still memorable

Please let us know of any dietary needs in advance when booking.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Are children allowed?

Yes. This is your group and your trip. You decide who comes. 

  • We offer special pricing for children and can provide activities for kids, including a Paris Disneyland stop!

💸 What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change.

  • Full group cancellations may be made up to 3 months in advance for a refund, minus any non-recoverable costs.
  • If individual travelers must cancel, we will refund the majority of their trip cost, less any expenses already incurred on their behalf.
  • Please read our Terms and Conditions.

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for added protection (see below).

🛡 Is travel insurance included?

Travel insurance is not included in the trip cost.
We strongly encourage all travelers to purchase comprehensive coverage that includes:

  • Trip cancellation/interruption
  • Medical coverage abroad
  • Baggage protection

We’re happy to recommend trusted providers if needed.

👤 Who leads the tours?

Your group will be hosted by Lisa and/or Sebastien, owners of Vintage Wine and Travel.
In addition, you’ll meet:

  • Local winemakers and producers
  • Culinary artisans, castle proprietors, local sommeliers
  • Historical site experts and guides.

The experience is as educational as it is enjoyable.
